“Thrilling Adventures!!”– March Theme Movie Review Marathon 2015

Cayman Jack GirlWhew… February is soooo nearly gone, but the snow lingers on here at the ol’ Litterbox. March rapidly approaches and in an attempt to shake of the seasonal doldrums that have me in their evil clutches I thought I might try to do another Themed Movie Review Marathon this upcoming month. How to choose? Well that was easy…. ;)

As usual it was my very sensible and very together wife and sweetheart who accidentally sparked my mind and solved my problem. Of late my wee brain has been all goofy and nostalgic and all my thoughts are slipping back to fond memories of lil’ Miyuki’s adventures in blissfully warm Summers past. I’ve already wrote about my memories of “Banana Republic” here at the Litterbox, and as always that ended up being a silly lil’ chat between us one chilly evening as we settled in for bedtime. (What? You mean none of you carry on intimate lil’ conversations with your significant other about your childhood dreams of being a jungle explorer? ;) )

Telling her that reminded me of that Summer… the one where I wore that silly khaki explorer getup of mine just about forever (at least whenever my Mom would let me, that is…)… and… as it happens… that was also the year “Raiders of the Lost Ark” first came out…. Oh yeah. THAT movie…. ;)

Then Carolyn reminded me… it’s been 34 years since that movie came out. 34 YEARS!! Gosh, how this wee Catgirl sometimes forgets just how long ago my childhood really was… So, anyways…. my idea is to revist that wonderous movie with a Nekolishous “Lil’ Kitten Classics” Review of “Raiders” at 34 years along… followed throughout the month with oodles of other cinema “classics” errr… ummmm… “insprired” by it’s legacy. Some fairly good ones… some really bad ones, a couple of foreign ones…. and maybe even a few “surprises” along the way. (Possibly even a Triple Feature “shared review” with blogging friends, if they are up for the fun… ;) )

Yep, o’ Gentle Visitors. So that means it’s time to grab your bush hat, trusty leather jacket, pack your rucksack with survival goodies, and sharpen your machete! This March, “Adventure awaits!!” Cue that theme music!!
